The proposed Smart Student ID Card transforms a conventional ID card into an interactive touchscreen-based device. It displays basic student details, a real-time clock, class schedules, timetables, and examination information such as exam date, time, hall, and seat number. It operates through different modes including Classroom Mode, Exam Hall Mode, Campus Mode, and Utility Mode. The card can receive and display notices, announcements, notifications, and emergency alerts directly from the institution. Utility Mode provides basic tools such as a calculator and unit converter. A secure Admin Mode, accessible only to authorized faculty or administrators, allows them to update and publish schedules, examination details, notices, announcements, and emergency messages. By combining these separate features into one smart card, the system provides students with a centralized, portable, and easily accessible campus information platform. Similar ideas have been implemented separately, such as large digital displays or TVs used to publish notices and announcements, which can also help reduce paper usage and printing costs. However, students may not always notice or pay attention to information displayed on a common screen. Other features such as digital timetables, exam information, notifications, and utility tools are also often provided through separate systems or platforms. Our proposed solution combines these existing ideas and features into one portable Smart Student ID Card, allowing important personalized and campus-related information to be accessed directly by the student from a single device.
